| The Royal Angkhang Agricultural Station Project was set up in 1969 under the auspices of His Majesty King Bhumibol. Primarily a research center, it focuses on developing a wider variety of marketable produce for the local Hill tribes which were previously cash-poor and dependant on growing illegal opium as their major resource of income. | ||
