There are several bus connections every day from Chiang Mai via Pai or via Mae Sariang. Taking the Pai-Route is usually faster, via Mae Sariang the road is less curvy!
Via Pai you can get on a public bus (takes about 8 hrs) or on a private van (takes 5 hours).
