Tour Program Duration : 08.30-12.00, 13.30-17.00
Take
a trip to visit the northern Thailand's most popular landmark,
Doi Suthep, where the fresh air and local culture can be
enjoyed on a half-day outing. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is
15 kms far from Chiang Mai city at 3,500 feet above sea
level situated on the summit of Doi Suthep. See the marvelous
golden pagoda which was originally built in 1383, and which
is containing the holy relics of Lord Buddha. You can enjoy
the panoramic view of Chiang Mai City and Ping valley from
the summit of Doi Suthep. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is approached
on foot by climbing a steep 290 stairway flanked by tremendous
mythical Nagas, which symbolize humanity's progress from
earth into nirvana. However, for the less energetic, taking
a cable-car would be an easier and faster way to reach Wat
Phrathat Doi Suthep.
